BOTHI is a design house based in Amsterdam, creating furniture and objects made in the Netherlands with trusted local manufacturers and independent designers. Our work sits between gallery and retail: pieces with clear form, honest materials, and lasting build quality, offered without the distance or exclusivity of the gallery world.

We champion independent design by producing considered objects that respect time, resources, and the people who live with them. Each piece is made to be collected with intention. They are functional, enduring, and priced with integrity.

The meaning of BOTHI

The name BOTHI comes from the Scottish bothy: a simple shelter found between destinations. Not a final place, but a pause. A space for rest, repair, and reorientation before continuing the journey.

That idea underpins everything we do. BOTHI is a space between art and design, where objects are shaped by use as much as by form. It is also a moment in the life of a material; a point where raw resources are held, worked, and given clarity before being passed on into daily life.

Our physical store follows the same logic. It is not a destination in itself, but a calling-in space: somewhere to step into, rest for a moment, and engage with objects along your path through the city. A shelter for materials, ideas, and people. Positioned deliberately between where you have been and where you are going.
